Pre-Meeting Info

Hello Everyone!

Parent/Athlete Meeting
One last reminder that there will be a Parent/Athlete meeting tomorrow, Monday, May 3rd at the High School Pool. We will be going over lots of information about the program and some of the changes that we've made. We will also be accepting registrations tomorrow, so make sure to read and follow the information below and fill out the registration form prior to the meeting. We are all looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Website
If you haven't already make sure you check out grandvilleaquatics.com. We have all of our information, registrations, meet schedules and even the Top Ten Times for USA Meets which have been compiled since 2006.

Registration
We will be accepting registrations after the May 3rd meeting and encourage you to fill out your registration sheets prior to coming. Here's some info you may need to know...

Registration Form: Click here to print a registration form and fill it out before you come on Monday. The registration form is the same for the "Big Dawgs" (HS/MS athletes) and the "Lil Dawgs" (12 and Under). If you have more than three children registering, please print two registration sheets and adjust the cost on the new sheet of the each child to $100.

Registration Date: Registration closes on Wednesday May 12th. All registrations may be turned in at the Community Ed building. We will be accepting registrations at the May 3rd meeting or at practice on May 10th and 11th. You may also turn in your registrations at the Age Group Registrations being held at the High School pool on May 4th and 5th from 6:00-7:30PM.

Options: This year we will be offering two options for any swimmer. You must be at least an age group swimmer to participate. Here's what the info page says about each group...

Age Group Team
The age group team is designed for the swimmer who wants to continue to train in a competitive atmosphere, which will improve their high school season. An age group swimmer is expected to attend all age group practices and meets.

USA Team
The USA Team is designed for the swimmer who wants to take their training to the next level of competition. This swimmer feels that the additional training and competition will benefit their high school season, and even better their chances for a college scholarship as
a lot of college scouts will look at USA swimming results before high school results. A USA swimmer is required to meet all of the expectations for the age group team as well as attend all of the USA swim meets offered by JAWS.
